About
OneEye is built by Abid Siddiqui, a civil engineer based in Mumbai who has spent his working life around construction and interior fit-out in India. The problem the product addresses is one he kept meeting on site: on a residential fit-out, the work that decides whether the flat lasts — conduit runs, waterproofing, plaster thickness, the grade of plywood inside a wardrobe carcass — is concealed within weeks, and the owner paying for it is usually somewhere else. What reaches them instead is a photograph on WhatsApp and a number for how complete the job is. Neither can be checked, and both arrive after the money has moved.
The company builds one thing: software that reads daily site photographs and returns a dated, itemised record of what physically changed and where the workmanship departs from the written specification. It is deliberately narrow. It assesses surfaces and assemblies, not people — faces are removed before any analysis runs, and the boundaries in the Acceptable Use Policy are enforced in the system rather than promised in a document. OneEye reports; a person decides. That division is fixed, and the product is built around it.
